Furzton Lake, a large 70 acre expanse balancing lake with an Island. Fishing is from two banks with “C” section having special rules. This venue is popular with match, pleasure and specimen anglers alike. The lake is stocked with a good head of carp ranging in size with carp being caught to just over 30lp with sessions often resulting in multiple catches..

There are good shoals of bream, hybrids and roach along with perch.

Feeder, method feeder, straight lead or float can all work well on the day. The lake is a typical park lake and can be very busy so please respect other park users.

Depending on the section the pegs are either grass our permanent pegs. Bivvies need to be set up waterside of the paths around the lake.

Please see specific rules for “C” section. There are also two day only pegs which are opposite “A section”

NEW Rule (16th June 2024 – 2025 season)- APPLIES TO ‘A’ Section (between the sluice and the wooden bridge) No fishing with straight leads.
Float, feeder or surface fishing only. Feeders up to 50 gram (unloaded) are permitted. Night fishing on ‘A’ Section is
permitted. See The Parks Trust signs for boundaries.

Rules for C-Section (Does Not Include ‘The Point’)

The same rules apply to ALL users of C section be they match, specialist or leisure anglers.

Fishing only allowed from platforms on the eastern side of the section

NO tackle, Bivvies etc. on non-lake side of the path

NO Night Fishing on all of C-Section

NO fishing with ‘straight’ leads (that is any lump of lead whether ‘fixed’ or ‘running’ and includes so-called in-line leads). Split shot no larger than swan-shot are allowed when float-fishing

The following is allowed is Allowed on A & C Section

Freeline fishing

Use of floats (including fixed, sliding, self-loaded or marker) where float and loading together do NOT exceed 50 grms in weight.

Use of FEEDERS (such as cage/method/maggot-types) not exceeding 50 grms in weight before loading with bait.
